Private Medical Insurance

Most medical insurance schemes will cover Podiatric foot surgery for conditions such as Ingrowing Toenails, Bunions, Morton's Neuromas and Hammered Toes, and curative short-term Podiatric treatments such as Plantar Fasciitis, heel pain and corns.

  1. In some cases you may need to pay an excess on your insurance policy. If you intend to reclaim your expenses, we would strongly recommend that you consult your insurance provider prior to commencing treatment.
  2. When using your health insurance, a GP referral letter may be necessary. You must talk with your insurance company before your first consultation to obtain an authorisation number. Some insurers require a claim form to be completed by the specialist.
  3. All GP referrals should be made to Mr Michael O'Neill. When requesting a pre-authorisation number from your insurance company, you must quote Mr Michael O'Neill, whom you have been referred to.
